Oh NO he didn’t. Patrick Couderc, the managing director of Herve Leger, made some very controversial comments in a new interview, stating that ‘voluptuous’ women and ‘lesbians’ should steer clear of the brand’s skin-tight bandage dresses. Say what?!

Oh boy. Herve Leger‘s director Patrick Couderc seems to have a very strong opinion on the type of women who should buy the brand’s iconic bandage dress. In his eyes, if you are a pear-shaped woman like Kim Kardashian, 34, or a “committed lesbian,” the body-con dress just isn’t meant for you. See his awful outburst here.
Patrick told The Mail on Sunday that “voluptuous” women and those with “very prominent hips and a very flat chest” should not be wearing the $2,000 body-hugging dress. Wow. We wonder what Kim would have to say about this. The curvy queen of fashion can rock anything, and she looks amazing wearing the iconic dress in the picture above!
To add more fuel to the fire, Patrick also said lesbians should not wear the dress. “If you’re a committed lesbian and you are wearing trousers all your life, you won’t want to buy a Leger dress,” he said. “Lesbians would want to be rather butch and leisurely.”
Wait, there’s more. Apparently, if you’re over a certain age Patrick doesn’t think the dress is for you either. When discussing women who try on his dresses in stores, he said, “What you’re not noticing is that your cleavage is about two inches too low because you are 55 and it’s time that you should not display everything like you’re 23.” Caitlyn Jenner, 65, is another celeb to have worn a Leger dress, but she doesn’t seem to fit into Patrick’s very narrow demographic.

So who does he expect to wear his dresses? He thinks “people with an expertise” should only wear the dresses. Yikes. We can’t imagine too many people agree with the Herve Leger executive.
