"I think that being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I’m feeling so happy with who I am these days. And for those words to come out of my mouth is actually a miracle.
It took me a long time to accept the idea until I first fell in love with a girl at 20 and recognized that I had to accept it."
However, Vogue came under fire when the journalist conducting the interview made the following blunder about Cara's sexuality:
"Her parents seem to think girls are just a phase for Cara, and they may be correct."
Damn, Vogue, that's kind of embarrassing. Still, Cara brushed off this undermining of her relationship, saying that it was "nothing malicious," and setting the record straight in an interview with the New York Times, proudly stating:
"My sexuality is not a phase. I am who I am."
The important thing is that Cara Delevingne is happy with girlfriend Annie Clark - who plays some seriously shredding guitar under stage name St. Vincent. Cara certainly credits her relationship with making her a lot happier in her own skin:
"Being in love helps, you know? If you’re in love with someone, you can be with them like no one else is in the room. Acting is like that. It’s like taking that feeling and turning it on so nothing else matters when you’re looking in another actor’s face."
Are you more excited to see Cara Delevingne in 'Suicide Squad' or 'Paper Towns'?
