Joaquim Vergès, the developer behind the incredibly popular third-party Twitter app Falcon, has announced that he's moving on to working for Twitter proper. Vergès will take his expertise to Twitter as one of the developers behind the company's official app.
In subsequent tweets, Vergès says that he's "grown tired of all the third party limitations," and he plans to bring his expertise to the official app and "make a killer official app with full API and a modern UI." As far as Falcon is concerned, Vergès says that he will continue to work on the app, as it makes for a good place to test out experimental features.
Falcon is one of the most popular third-party Twitter apps out there, having been largely lauded for its excellent design. It will definitely be interesting to see what Vergès plans to bring to the official app.
