According to 9to5Mac, the Apple TV is getting a refreshed, brighter interface, moving away from the dark UI that it has sported for several years. However, it will still reportedly maintain the basic grid view.
While the new system is likely to improve the current scrolling list of large icons, we are told that the general aesthetic will be similar to the current look.
As has been often reported, this new Apple TV is said to include support for third-party apps. The new software will also apparently include iOS 9's proactive search, collecting data from these new apps to help improve search results.
