Instant cameras are a joy to use, but they're not too great for selfies.
Fujifilm's new Instax Mini 70 addresses this weakness with a dedicated selfie button that changes the lens' focus distance down to around 11 inches so selfies are sharp and in focus and not blurry. A tiny mirror on the lens also helps with framing selfies.
The $139.99 instant camera comes out in November. It'll be available in three colors: Canary Yellow, Moon White and Island Blue.
In addition to the new selfie mode, the Instax Mini 70 also sports a sleeker and more compact design than the Instax Mini 8.

There's also an improved viewfinder, which is always a plus. A mode button switches between macro, landscape, a forced flash mode (always on flash) and a "high-key" mode which takes brighter instant photos.
On the back, you'll also find a 10-second timer — a feature that was once only available on the Instax Mini 90. Pushing the timer button twice will print out a second instant photo so you can share it with a friend.

Interestingly enough, the camera doesn't use two AA batteries like the Mini 8 or a rechargeable lithium-ion battery like the Mini 90. It needs two CR2/DL, which complicates things a little (I had to look them up because I've never heard of this kind).
